Parish Office Hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday
and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
The office is located on the Hubble Road side of the Parish Center. The office
is not open on weekends.
When hospitalized, if you or a member of your family wish to see someone from
Saint James during a hospital stay or a prolonged illness at home, please call
the Parish Office. We do not always know when you are ill. Keep in mind that
every hospital also has a chaplain on duty.
Circle of Care is a unique structure through which the entire parish family
relates to one another. By dividing the parish into neighborhoods, each with an
Area Representative, Saint James has a way to befriend, support, and pray with
each other. We believe that the Body of Christ, our faith community, is alive,
and reflects the lived Gospel in a sensitive, caring way. By linking neighbors,
organizations, and Parish Center resources, we are a Circle of Care. Call the
Parish Office if you need special information.
The Church Hall
The Church Hall is restricted for use only by parish members for wedding
receptions, anniversary celebrations, birthday, retirement and baptism
parties, family parties, and Saint James Class reunions. Parish organizations
may use the Church Hall for fund raising or social events. For information or
reservations, call the parish scheduler, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. till
5:00 p.m. only. All other facilities are for the use of parish organizations.
Weddings
Arrangements should be made at the Parish Office at least six months before
other planning. A permanent date is not available until the couple has met
with a priest. Pre-Cana Conference, Engaged Encounter, or equivalent programs
are required. (See "Our Sacramental Life" section for specifics.)
Wedding Banns
Publication of banns is no longer a Canon Law, but we still publish banns
to honor the tradition. All weddings that take place at Saint James will be
automatically published. If the wedding takes place in another parish (as is
the case when the groom is our parishioner), you must call the Parish
Secretary with the information at least one month before the wedding.
Funeral Arrangements
When there is a death in the family, please contact the funeral home of
your choice first. The funeral director will then contact the Parish Office to
make the necessary arrangements.
Cemetery
Saint James Cemetery has recently added a new section, making grave sites
once again available to parishioners. Information regarding the cemetery can
be obtained by calling the Cemetery Superintendent or the Parish Office.
Parish Life Newsletter
Parish Life Newsletter is the monthly publication of the parish. It
contains parish news, articles, announcements and ads, a calendar for the
upcoming month, the names of new parishioners, those recently baptized, those
recently deceased, those who have been enrolled in the Saint James Memorial
Fund, and the Parish Facts and Figures. A copy is mailed monthly to all
registered parishioners. Additional copies are usually available at the Parish
Office. The deadline for submitting articles is printed in each month's
publication, the second Wednesday of the month.
Credit Union
Saint James Parish Credit Union has served the needs of the parishioners
since 1939. Business hours are Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m., Wednesday 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and the first Saturday of each month,

including evenings and Saturdays. We offer savings accounts, certificates of
deposit, IRAs, auto loans, boat loans, and closed end fixed home equity loans.
