Seniors

Up

All ministries are available for seniors volunteers. Some special groups include the following:

Saint James/White Oak Community Senior Citizens

They attend to the needs of senior citizens in the community with meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. Monthly luncheon meetings include entertainment, educational programs, and planning for trips and outings. All strive to fill those needs specific to the senior population of the parish as well as the community.

WIDS

Widows, Widowers, Divorced, and  Separated parishioners come together as a group to provide social activities as a means of support to those who have lost a partner. Group attendance at concerts, theaters, restaurants, card playing luncheons, and trips are just some of our activities. As part of the parish and community involvement, they assist the Bereavement Committee at the annual Memorial Mass and reception. They also provide food and gifts for a family during the holidays. All ages are welcomed but their current membership is 50 and older. Their meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Church Hall.
